WILDCURE infused honey

Nature’s medicine, reimagined

At WILDCURE, we believe that not all healing needs to be complicated. It begins with nature, sourced with care + intentionally formulated. Inspired by traditional plant knowledge + guided by modern science, we create functional honey blends designed to support the body naturally.
Our philosophy is simple: when you respect the integrity of natural ingredients, they work with you

From experience to innovation

WILDCURE began not in a lab, but through lived experience. 13 years ago, co-founder Ian found himself in the tropics dealing with a persistent, infected mosquito bite that wouldn’t heal over a period of weeks using conventional medications. After experimenting with natural remedies, he discovered the powerful effect of a unique blend of raw honey + pure plant compounds. Within just a few days of topical use, the infection cleared

What started as a personal breakthrough became a deeper exploration into the synergy between raw honey + traditional plant medicines. Together with a friend and later co-founder, Breann, that discovery evolved into WILDCURE, a brand rooted in both experience + intention

Nature’s pharmacy

WILDCURE merges raw, locally sourced honey together with carefully selected organic botanicals to create functional, healing honey blends. Each jar is crafted to support everyday wellbeing in a natural way that is both simple + effective

Whether taken as part of a daily ritual, used for seasonal support, or applied topically, WILDCURE infused honey integrates seamlessly into a holistic wellness routine

Functional wellness is about moving beyond isolated ingredients + toward purposeful, whole-system support. Rather than focusing on single outcomes, functional health considers how natural compounds work together to support overall balance across immunity, energy, digestion, skin health + resilience

At its core, WILDCURE is designed around this philosophy, combining nature’s most powerful botanicals with raw honey as a delivery system that is both bioactive + bioavailable. The result is a simple, versatile way to incorporate wellness into modern routines, helping to bridge traditional plant wisdom with everyday health needs

From biodiversity to breakthrough

Our formulations begin with the land. Sourced from South Africa’s diverse regions, from fynbos-rich mountains to the Karoo deserts and eucalyptus landscapes, our honey reflects one of the most botanically rich + diverse environments in the world

We work closely with local beekeepers, who understanding that true quality depends on balance and sustainability, harvest with care while protecting the ecosystems that make it possible. Their expertise ensures that every batch retains its natural integrity, vitality + potency

Bee populations have been declining globally over recent decades due to habitat loss, intensive farming practices, changes in weather patterns and the excessive use of agrochemicals such as pesticides. This, in turn, poses a threat to a variety of plants critical to human well-being and livelihoods

Our premium South African raw honey is sourced from experienced, ethical beekeepers who combine generations of hands-on knowledge with a deep commitment to sustainable beekeeping, biodiversity + bee conservation. Working across diverse regions and floral environments, our suppliers follow low-intervention practices that prioritise bee health, environmental stewardship + the protection of indigenous bee populations

Beyond honey production, our beekeeping partners remain actively involved in supporting + strengthening the South African beekeeping industry through conservation initiatives, education, sustainable farming advocacy + pollinator protection efforts. Their ongoing work helps preserve healthy bee populations + protects the long-term sustainability of South Africa’s unique ecosystems for future generations

Understanding honey potency

WILDCURE's multi-pathway bioactive honey

Not all medicinal or therapeutic honey is measured in the same way. While some honey grading systems focus on a single dominant antibacterial compound, others recognise honey as a complex natural matrix made up of multiple interacting bioactive compounds

Traditional medicinal honey grading systems used for varieties such as manuka honey, often focus primarily on measuring levels of methylglyoxal (MGO). In these systems, higher MGO concentrations are associated with stronger antibacterial activity and are commonly reflected through ratings such as UMF or NPA

Single-marker systems provide:
• Clear and standardised potency measurements
• Easier comparison between products
• A recognised antibacterial benchmark

However, measuring one compound alone cannot fully capture the broader complexity of raw honey. Natural honey contains a wide range of bioactive elements, including:
• Enzymes
• Flavonoids
• Polyphenols
• Terpenes
• Bee-derived compounds
• Diverse botanical compounds from nectar sources

These compounds interact together to influence honey’s overall bioactivity, antioxidant properties, and natural wellness potential

The WILDCURE approach: multi-pathway honey bioactivity

WILDCURE measures honey potency through multiple natural activity pathways rather than relying on a single compound alone

Both single-marker and multi-pathway systems measure honey potency, but they reflect very different philosophies. WILDCURE views honey not as a single active molecule, but as a naturally complex, bioactive ecosystem where multiple compounds work together to support overall wellness

PA (Peroxide Activity)

Natural hydrogen peroxide activity generated by enzymes naturally present in raw honey

NPA (Non-Peroxide Activity)

Antimicrobial activity derived from botanical forage sources, plant compounds, + environmental conditions

TA (Total Activity)

The combined bioactive effect created through the interaction of natural honey compounds together with WILDCURE’s botanical infusions and synergistic formulations

Tested. Verified. Trusted.

WILDCURE’S independent lab-certified testing applies conservative standards, ensuring every rating delivers a reliable real-world minimum, not a best-case scenario

Uncompromised quality

Independent laboratory tested for TA, PA + NPA
Amazonian supplier certifications GMP, HACCP, USD, ORGANIC and HALAAL
Produced + bottled by FSSC 22000 certified manufacturer
